FAQS
HOW SHOULD I PREPARE FOR MY TREATMENT?
Showering before a massage is generally a good idea. Rinsing perspiration, chlorine, and environmental pollutants is helpful, however it is best to avoid applying moisturizers or other topical treatments until after your massage. If you plan to remain clothed during your massage, wear loose fitting, comfortable clothing. It's a good idea to hydrate before a massage but you may want to avoid eating right beforehand. It is recommended that you silence your cell phone during treatment so that you may fully enjoy your session.
WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT WHEN I ARRIVE?
Please plan to arrive a few minutes early to complete an intake form and discuss your health history as well as your goals for your treatment. An early arrival will also allow you to settle in and help you relax. You will then have an opportunity to use the facilities and will then be shown to your treatment room. Your therapist will leave the room so that you can undress to your level of comfort. It is important to know that your privacy will be protected at all times. Your therapist will use sheets and towels to drape all parts of the body that they are not actively working on. Once treatment is complete, therapist will leave the room so that you may have privacy while you dress.
WHAT DO I DO IF... ?
Q:I need to use the bathroom in the middle of my massage?
A: Say so. We have a bathroom and want you to be comfortable.
Q:The music is terrible, it's too warm/cold, it's too dark/bright?
A: Say so. We are happy to make adjustments and each client has their own preferences.
Q: I suddenly experience overwhelming emotion?
A: This is a common response to massage. Your therapist will check in to determine if massage should continue.
Q: I do not like techniques being used or want to stop my massage?
A: SAY SO! You may end your session at any moment. Your therapist can also make adjustments if techniques are uncomfortable.
COMMUNICATION IS KEY! WE DO NOT EVER WANT YOU TO FEEL LIKE YOU NEED TO "SUFFER" THROUGH A MASSAGE!
